Melissa Meibert, RN, CCO

Melissa Meibert is the Chief Clinical Officer of American Prime Healthcare, bringing more than 17 years of experience in hospice and palliative care patient care and leadership. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for building high-performing clinical teams, developing exceptional patient care programs, and leading organizations through periods of significant growth while maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

Melissa began her nursing career serving in the United States Army, where she received her foundational nurse training. Her military service instilled the principles of leadership, discipline, integrity, and service that continue to guide her approach to patient care and organizational leadership today. She is now a proud veteran grateful to have the opportunity to support and care for other veterans via community veteran support groups, pinning ceremonies and providing specialized care during serious illness and at end of life.

Early in her nursing career, Melissa discovered a deep passion for hospice and palliative care and has remained steadfast in her commitment to serving patients and families facing serious illness. She believes that every individual deserves compassionate, dignified, and personalized care, and she is dedicated to ensuring patients receive the highest quality clinical support while helping families navigate one of life’s most meaningful and challenging journeys with confidence, comfort, and respect.

Over the course of her career, Melissa has held leadership roles including Chief Clinical Officer, Director of Patient Care Services, and hospice administrator. She has extensive expertise in hospice operations, palliative care, quality improvement, clinical compliance, staff development, regulatory readiness, and interdisciplinary team leadership.

At American Prime Healthcare, Melissa is dedicated to building a culture of excellence where every patient is treated with compassion, respect, and clinical expertise. She works closely with physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and community partners to provide coordinated care that improves quality of life for patients and their families during some of life’s most important moments.
